The Friends of Corvallis Parks and Recreation is actively seeking grants and other funding opportunities during for 2020 and beyond for the following City of Corvallis Parks and Recreation Projects. These are not listed in order of priority. Timing depends upon funding availability. Cost and match dollars are estimates only and will change depending up the timing of each project.
Current and Future Large Projects
- Corvallis Pump Track project – Team Dirt got approval from the City of Corvallis Parks and Recreational Board to privately fund a pump track to be installed in one of the parks.
- Eric Scott Mckinley Skate Park Expansion Project – This project will expand the existing Eric Scott McKinley Skate Park located at Shawala Point with a new skate bowl feature. The bowl will address the need for more advanced skills for skateboarding.
- Knotts-Owen Farmhouse restoration and the Sunnyside School Nature Center restoration
- Gaylord House restoration project
- Trails: Chip Ross Park and Bald Hill Park trail re-surfacing
- Martin Luther King Jr. Park large updates in multiple phases
- Village Green Park improvements, including the playground, irrigation and picnic shelter
